ABOUT
Embodying mystery and profound depth, my sensitivity grants me the ability to perceive truths beyond sight, bestowing my presence with an enchanting discretion. My inner gaze uncovers the secrets of the universe—a wisdom that those who meet me feel instinctively in their bones.
An explorer of lesser-trodden paths, I turn each written word into a voyage within—an invitation to ponder, to delve into the soul and the cosmos. Independent and contemplative, I cherish solitude as a sacred refuge where my creativity and inner reflection find their fullest expression.
Carrying my own light, I am unafraid to face my shadows. My pen, infused with spirituality, seeks to illuminate those who seek their own truth—even if it sometimes stirs, tearing apart veils of illusion to reveal what is real, with gentle ferocity and unwavering honesty.
This mastery is the fruit of a lifelong devotion: for forty-four years, I have conversed with the symbols of the Tarot, and for more than thirty years, I have navigated the labyrinth of Shadow Work. This long-standing intimacy with the unseen allows me to guide you with a steady hand.
Guiding those who search for their own path, I offer a sanctuary to plunge into the depths of the soul, illuminated by the luminous fire within.
Also curator of The Athanor, a cabinet of curiosities where antiques, nature and mysticism intertwine, I give life to a place where the strange becomes tangible, a space sublimated by an elegant, delicate and artistic touch.
Note on Identity & Lineage:
You may notice that my earlier French publications (from 2018) bear the family name ending in 'Koff', whilst my upcoming British and international works are proudly signed 'Kova'.
This is a conscious return to my paternal Russian roots. In 1960, amidst the tensions of the Cold War, my father made the difficult choice to legally westernise his name in Belgium. Later, when my early books were published, they inherited the rigid Western spelling forced upon my family.
However, as a woman stepping into a new era of writing from my sanctuary on the Isle of Wight, reclaiming the rightful feminine declension of my ancestral name--Kova—is non-negotiable. It is a restoration of balance, a return to truth, and the signature under which all my future stories will unfold.
